A Needed Moment

Let me get a moment to catch my breath
I got a lot of weight to get off my chest
Let me tell you a story of a heavy heart
Captured by you, that beats off the charts

Breathe with me slowly…

Irregular patterns of a man in distress
All my emotions are a mangled mess
Twists and turns somehow tied into knots
All the while you seem to take these shots
At my brain, my frame, you drive me insane

Think above and beyond…

I could turn it all into a book of questions
With no real answers, just direct moments
Two stories, two perspectives of thought
But, you seem so very stubborn like a rock

Understand my words today…

Indecisive, actions speak louder than words
Healed the wounds on the wings of this bird
Fly again, oh yes we did after a little while
You may say I am crazy, I say it’s your denial
I’ve seen that place in your eyes as you smile

Love what I see through your eyes…

Every beautiful rose always has its ugly thorns
Temper, temper, I withstood the devils horns
Because I care enough to grasp fragile clouds
For that one moment and the queens crown

Recognize the demons within...

You may be the best I know, that’s not my fault
This heart beats to a rhythm that I can’t hault
I am sorry, so sorry, but it is what it is, always
Your presence, turns the rain into hopeful rays
That flips evil nights into such memorable days

Respect that you are indeed unique…
