Seeded Sadness

Such sadness, such a murmur of depression
The foggy horns that play tribute to treachery
Notice roots to the tree of lies and deep wounds
The pain of a person so young yet blatantly scarred

The heart cries- the mind wails so very deep
Eyes are open- staring straight into the obscurity
The shadows that slither to the light like cold mists
The things forgotten- the memories that are missed

Oblivious routines- ignorant so called shepherds
Unfathomable pain- like noxious needles- fixed
The soul suffers trying to recall a much better time
When it was not physical shells that were treasured

The abandonment of laughter that once rang true
Sincere prayers of fallen angels trying to return home
New tides pulling on the sands of a corrupt coast
The seeded sadness that roars and slowly roasts
