The Eternal Myth

Sit back, with eyes alert, and crush it down
into fine diamonds that taunt you
with delirious dreams
of robotic kings and colorful kites
floating so freely

Light it up, light it up
while you throw it up
and swig back to quench the thirst
that burns your throat
creeping its way up into your brain

Lie there, silent, feeling soothed
oh, feel the slumber
in your veins
slithering like a serpent
of superb serenity

A bed becomes a garden
with sweet smelling flowers
and fresh cut grass
that you can run through
without even getting up

Dance, just dance
with the songs of an eternal myth
that the Gods are giants amongst men
who play mortal instruments
from within their twinkling eyes
