I've seen the fire- I've seen the rain
Lived through pleasure- always followed by pain
Like a dirty mark on my heart- eternally stained
Always pondering- the curse on my brain
Do you know who I am?
Born of such humble roots- thank you
Parents who came for the dream...
Never made it- nay- but such gracious deeds
Gave me strength- in this they did succeed
Have you danced with the devil?
Felt the fiery touch of his hand?
I have been there- burned...
My goodness- it remained- amen...
I've recognized the light- I've been lost in the dark
Evil souls- eating loved ones- ghastly sharks
The beast who's bite is just as bad as its bark
Understand? Do you know who I am?
Have you danced with angels of good?
Felt the hand of forgiveness?
I have been there- healed
Simplistic- so easy- respectable ideals...
Do you know who I am?
Call me simple sam- the simple man
Do I have a plan? Nay- no plan...
Just walking the deserts- footsteps in the sand
Searching for whats lost- the holy lands...

This is a powerful poem. The picture you paint with lines like Parents who came for the dream...
Never made it- nay are strong. There are, however, a few lines I did not like. For example: . . . eternally stained
Always pondering- the curse on my brain
I see that your name is S Khan, but this page says it was posted by Ishvara. Is that a pseudonym you use?
