In a dream I did stand, with you traveling by my side
Calmed by such sweet voices of those who had died
The first person I saw was the last I had wanted near me
It’s funny how we dance, the strings of change and chance
I close my eyes, and then shed wicked tears
Under the pillars of light, closed windows that shined bright
Revelations came from within, creeping through my skin
From a place I had tried to bury, I guess a shovel was found
I whisper words, and then sing to the winds
I lost something; I did not tread carefully around glass shrines
I did not wade carefully through thick mud and deadly mines
I forgot, the feeling of calmness, simple happiness, I smiled
I know this is my road, who are you in relation?
Still you are laughing by my side, both enjoying the ride
Revelations creeping by me, like cold fogs from yesterday
As we ride the desert on a blind horse that has no name
Now the bright dream is over, once again I feel my pains
